Leave any food in your car rather than in you tent and the baboons should not be too much of a problem. Baboons hung around our camp at Rocklands, but not much of a problem. You would not have a security problem at Rocklands or in the Cederberg’s as its too remote.

I can also recommend climbing at Watervale Boven, heaps of fantastic sports routes. You have to walk through the township to reach the Waterfall area, which would be the riskliest area (but we had no problem when we climbed there in July this year). Agree you should not have a problem with the Wonderland Crags as they are so far out of town.

But don’t get to worried about it, South Africa has heaps of excellent climbing and like most places once you get out of the main towns its like climbing in Grampians where nobody is around.
