Floods washed away some of the road plus liability concerns with trees needing clearing from walking tracks has closed the park till late Feb from what I recall being mentioned...

In a similar vein, is the road to Ben Cairn still shut?

Yes the road to Ben Cairn is still closed. You can of course cycle which is permitted. There are some minor landslips on road cuttings but certainly many people are cycling the road, me too !

Yes, I do live nearby Pat. Rode past Ben Cairn again yesterday. A couple of BMW adventure bikes whizzed by also. It's been a long time since I have seen any climbers there. I imagine moss is taking over.
