Looks like this route has some new bolts.. It looks super awesome. Has anyone got any details ? The 2nd and 3rd bolts look to be in strange position - the are quite left of the original line..

Cant wait to give it a go on the weekend..

P.S. Macca, please don't reply saying the route was way better 400 years ago on rusty carrots and marginal gear. I understand today's climbers are soft, and all bolts need to be chopped :-)

Glen and crunch went to zig zag on Sunday, and glen loves his drill almost as much as Monty, so my money's on them!

I asked Glenn if he knew anything about this yesterday actually, and he had no idea who put them up.

Looks like it could maybe a new route. Possibly a direct version of "the racers edge direct". There is also a impossible looking slab project on rings just right of "Dress Rehearsal" so maybe that's the same bolter ??

Maybe Im wong but that impossible slab project is forever going to sit there with a tag on it...and not because they cant get anyone down there!! (my excuse for Renitz Pass) When something is that blank on sandstone I kinda get miffed because even if it goes whatever is used wont last long.

Well, my drill is sexier than most of my friends ... :-)

That route next to R.E. has been there a while. It does seem to merge into RE. The one next to DRR had a carrot in it, placed about 25 yrs ago on lead by one of Claw's young proteges! (He's not so young now) Should have been done on knotted slings.
