Well that depends. There is the 'need to feel human again' and that's not long after you drag yourself out of bed a 6am. This isn't the morning coffee, it's just the coffee you have because you are getting up to early to go climbing.

It isn't till you get closer to your climbing destination that you actually need a morning coffee. That is a whole process which not only requires a latte but also requires a second breakfast of pie or if you are gonna have a really big climbing day, a full sized English breakfast.

You then take your portable coffee stove to the crag so that you can have your lunchtime coffee, being the envy of all those other people at the Glenn. (If you dont have a stove yet you can make do with a pre-made thermos of coffee).

Then when it's time to go home you need to have your 'make sure I don't fall asleep at the wheel' coffee. It's normally accompanied with a 'I'm waiting for dinner but feeling slightly peckish' snack, possibly a crussoint or maybe a donut.

Then before you go to bed, you need your 'after dinner' coffee. This is also when you eat your specially bought (or made if you still have a grandma) coffee cake.

Does that explain it?
