New routing on white quartz seacliff - stablity?

Does anyone have any experience with establishing routes on steep white quartz in a seacliff environment? The cliff is mostly vertical to slightly overhanging and is entirely composed of a very hard white quartz which exists as an intrusion into the surrounding siltstone/sandstone forming a patina several metres thick. My query is largely around safety with regards to the intrusion's adherence to the surrounding crappy rock...1/2 the cliff is on the ground which makes me wonder...tho I'm unsure as to how recent this part of the cliff fell down...kind of like the following image but with a headland behind it and sea on the other. http://www.google.com.au/imgres?q=quartz+intrusion&hl=en&qscrl=1&nord=1&rlz=1T4ADFA_enAU471AU471&biw=1280&bih=639&tbm=isch&tbnid=XqED1G4fl9qlsM:&imgrefurl=http://www.ess.washington.edu/winglee/nbu-tup/australia/&docid=7u3On_vbXSuHgM&imgurl=http://earthweb.ess.washington.edu/winglee/nbu-tup/australia/ChinaWall.jpg&w=600&h=450&ei=3kTlT4ryHYiQiQftlLFZ&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=303&vpy=77&dur=471&hovh=194&hovw=259&tx=170&ty=94&sig=115873356262308996005&page=3&tbnh=133&tbnw=175&start=44&ndsp=24&ved=1t:429,r:1,s:44,i:215

Just someone to climb with down here would be a terrific start!
