So after an early start yesterday grasshopper now has two more ascents to list. Tom O'halloran onsited the stella seam with a very scary to watch minimal gear lead. Thom Samuels free flashed the route on some preplaced gear while adding some gear in tom'o sparsely protected top pitch (Thom had aided the route a couple of years ago) .
I took two 6 metre plus gear ripping falls from the first crux coming to rest on the bolt both times (thanx mike). The second fall dealt out a hard hip hit so it was time to pass the Baton to Thom S.
All and all a hard trad line like this in the blue mountains begs to see more traffic. It was still clean the whole way bar the first 6 easy meters and only being a 10 min walk from the lower pierces car park what more would you want.
