Does anyone know if the Rockfax mini guide for the Happy Boulders near Bishop, CA still exits online? I'm passing through in May and will hopefully fit in a day's climbing there. I'm trying to travel light and don't really want to get a whole guidebook for a couple of hours of sport.
While I'm at it, does anyone have any "must do" recommendations in the lower grades (probably up to V3ish). The higher the better!
Cheers.

Ask the folks in Wilsons (I think its Wilsons...) in Bishop. You could even just ask for directions on how to get to the Happys and don't bother taking a guide, you'll have a good time just walking round the boulders just climbing whatever takes your fancy.
In fact in May the Happys could be pretty hot already (they can be hot in the middle of winter), if you want to do awesome highballs in low grades then head up to the Pollen Grains. The altitude is higher so they might be a bit cooler. Better still the scenery and all around vibe is way better than the somewhat dingy Happy boulders.

Yeah, May will be HOT in the Happys, and hot in that part of the world means rattlesnakes. The Buttermilks and the Druids may be better options as they're higher, as Seth says. If you'd like the Dr Topo guides to both areas, let me know and I'll email them to you.

Gutted! I was hoping early May would be cool enough for cranking on volcanic lumps rather than slithering off granite. Thanks for the offer of the topos - I'll PM you my email.

If you could somehow move Hueco to the Buttermilks, it'd be pretty much perfect.
