Hey all, I'm new to the forums but I am wondering if anyone knows of any bouldering locations in the Hunter Valley. Its a bushland area next to Newcastle, made up of Cessnock, Maitland and a few other smaller towns. I have noticed a few big boulders in properties that I've driven past but am not sure if theres any well known established boulders around. I don't have much opportunity to travel to Port Stephens as I know theres a bit of established lines there next to the water.
Any information is appreciated.

There is a bouldering and climbing guide for the hunter valley and port Stephens area by Timothy Haasnoot.
It's out of print but you can still find a few copy around. I don't remember the area that you are talking about being in it but it has other kickass areas like the docks.

There is a number of boulders out on Wolombi rd, pretty much everything out that way is on private land though. Some of the boulders and cliffs look pretty good but would require permission.
Rumours are that there is some good rock on private property about 20mins from Singleton that are currently being looked into for climbing development.
Only have a few guidebooks left, not much info in it for bouldering out that way in the valley though, but as the others said check out Port Stephens or head down the Central Coast, some of those bouldering guides are on ACA.
