My mate and I did Syrinx as our first lead at Araps. It was also his first trad outing and probably somewhere around my 6th or 7th. The plaque at the start, commemorating the death of a climber/copper on the route, didn't particularly fill either of us with confidence. Probably not the best first lead there....
