I think jono I found the stash, ate the chocolate pudding (ie all that was salvageable) & carted the rat-eaten-fire-melted trash out. There probably isn't any need for a reccy, unless you really want to stash gear. Camp in the saddle/col feature (as neil says) & walk down. Its fun for a weekend mission or 2 though!
