I have recently discovered that my step-sister no lives and teaches in Bolivia. She swears there are tons of climbing spots over there. just wonderin if anyone has been over there, or has any info about climbing in boliva.
I've done two seasons mountaineering in Bolivia, and it's the bomb. Very stable weather during the season and access is fairly good considering the size and location of the mountains. No peak fees! You will want a copy of "Bolivia: A Climbing Guide" by the late Yossi Brain, to wet your appetite.
As for warmer rock cragging, haven't done any but there is bound to be lots. Quimsa Cruz is not far from La Paz and was being developed last time I was poking around there. Way down in the jungles there are sandstone mesas & other cool stuff.
