Ah ha!

Tassie is a different story. You will want a decent one down there. Although I did the South Coast Track with just a large tent fly and was dry, even though it rained every day.

What exactly are you after? Do you want to borrow a tent or buy one or what?

after one to buy as im moving to tassie to explore the climbing down there for 7 months.
usually a tarp and thermarest would do but the "better half" said she'll be in the car.... women aye

just buy a good one and you're set. i can recommend exped tents.

I got a decent second-hand tent at an 'outdoor disposal shop' in melbourne years ago -
not sure of the name of the place - was near the boutique outdoor stores i think - locals might know?
