I doubt you'll find someone wanting the whole lot man.. Do the split option, it'll all sell that way..

I kitesurf as well so understand the passion, but giving up climbing for it - why not just do both?

When there is no wind or it's freezing cold go climbing & vice versa - get the best of both worlds.

What a suspicious and cynical person I am.

First post and not back since.

There is just some info missing from the descriptions that I as a climber would have added IF I knew and did want to sell some stuff.

Thinking for me is a bad thing but this sounds like the gear might not be legit, perhaps if I might be so bold, stolen.

Ralph.

Of course I could be wrong and I apologise should that be the case. Anyone know or recognise them?

Anyone who stole all that stuff would be bloody crazy to attempt to sell it on Chockstone.

For starters, what kinda person lists gear for sale without supplying shoe size?
One-size-fits-all, is it mate?

Give him time. After all, profile says he is a Queenslander and they are on a different time to us!, though with an email addy of 'justleaveit' one has to wonder!!

A forgetful one. It's happened a couple of times recently. I'm sure he'll get back and fix that up.

Also, I have 5 pairs of rock shoes. Only one pair still has the size visible on the inside. I'm buggered if I remember what sizes the others are.

Look, I still think some of you guys are being overly suspicious. He hasn't listed the gear on ebay. He'd be silly listing that much hot gear on this site. The site is too well used. If someone lost that much gear and even if they didn't patronise the site, I'm sure someone they knew would.

But hang on. Why has he only got 6 wires? There's something fishy going on here!

Because a non-climber would know what pitons, a gri-gri and a sprung stitch plate are? Don't be an ass.

He listed it after I advertised my kites FS on Extreme Kites where he posts too and he wanted to do a swap - kites for climbing gear. I don't need ANY more climbing gear and sugggested he try Argus, here, elsewhere to sell it. Believe he is on the up and up.

Cheers Macca ..... tough croud !
5 days !!! I miss 5 days and I'm a thief ... geeperss ! .... lol

What sort of a person does one post and then not come back fo a while.... probably 1/2 of ya, but seeing I'm the one in question, then the answer is me ;) .... I have been watching the replys and with the exception of tonight ... it was mainly just general banter.

Rest assured the gear is NOT hot .... quite cold in fact ... It's taken me 3 or 4 years to commit to selling the bloody stuff :( ... I am SURE you all undestand this eh !

I am selling the gear to fund kiting ... but not because of kiting...

I have dislocated my shoulder climbing 6 times now ... once at 70m up, this is the reason

The shoes ,,,, funny you ask that .. I found another pair :) so there are 4 now !!! $ went up $50 ,,, lol ..(Joking)

I am a 10 1/2 normal shoe
1 x La Sportiva ta rossa ... approx 42
1 x La sportiva Boot 37
1 x Scarpa low cut shoe ... 43
1 x Scarpa Boot ... 43

I do not want to split the gear up .... It's bad enough to sell it in one fell swoop . but to have it leave in bits and pieces would be more painfull than the shoulder ...

This is a one stop shop ... bargian of the year ... take it or leave it

Cheers
Marty

Fair enough, thanks for the back up as well.

As I did say, and I reinterate, I offered my apology if it was fair dinkum. There were a few things that did seem odd like sizes of cams, wires and nuts with no further descriptions and the large amount at the very reasonable price.

I've been on a number of other forums, not climbing related, and you do see some really suspect or scam posts regularly.

I hesitated before asking, but maybe not long enough.

Good luck with the sale then. It's sad to see your decision to get out.

Anyone looking to buy your rack does'nt need 4 pairs of shoes, logic says that if they want to start trad climbing they already have chalkbag, shoes, harness, that sort of thing. I will take all of them shoes off your hands for you at once. let me know

I got dibs on the Scarpa boots, last night. Unfortunately, he's going to wait 4 weeks to see if he gets a taker on whole lot, before splitting any of it up.

But I think you have a very good point.
