Howdy,

After many years of research and taking photos, editing and coordination Rob Baker and Josef Goding are stoked to announce that the 2019 edition of the Moonarie - a rock climber's guide is arriving in Adelaide this week (Melbourne on Friday last week).

Pre-orders will ship this week and be delivered next week.

It will be available in shops very soon.

You can order with us direct here if you wish: https://www.moonarie.com/

Here is a bit of info on the area and book from Rob Baker, and a quote from awesome photographer/climber Rob Knott;

Moonarie is one of Australia’s most spectacular crags for rock climbing. Situated on the rim of Wilpena Pound in the Flinders Ranges in South Australia, it is surrounded by sweeping arid inland views. Superb rock and loads of fantastic quality routes make it easily South Australia’s premier crag. Moonarie offers a varied trad climbing experience, with a good range of intermediate to hard routes and a few sport routes. The rock has a similar feel to Mt Arapiles, with the same mixture of natural gear and the occasional bolts. Moonarie is a magnet for climbers of all ability levels from across the state, around Australia and the world.

The 2019 edition of this new rock climbing guidebook provides information on the best adventures at Moonarie and nearby selected crags including Pt Bonney, Devil’s Peak and Warren Gorge and is presented in a modern A5 full colour format. It is packed with colour photo-topos and stunning, evocative climbing photos by an array of the top rock-climbing photographers in the land. The guidebook is entertainingly written, containing descriptions of the best and most alluring routes of all grades. It is a ‘must have’ for all climbers.

“It is the feelings of space and the timelessness of this ancient land that makes such an impression. These feelings are heightened by the adventurous nature of the climbing here. As one sits high up on a belay ledge after an engrossing pitch, looking out into the vastness of the land, gazing at the arid mountain ridges stretching away into the distance. The clarity of the light, the vividness of the colours all around, the translucent sky above, all restore and enrich the soul.” – Impressions of Moonarie by Rob Knott
