|Beyond The Plains Katoomba Screening
Following a successful event in Melbourne, the NZ-climbing doco Beyond The Plains is coming to the Blue Mountains!
When: Sunday 22nd May 2011
Where: Katoomba RSL, 86 Lurline Street, Katoomba NSW.
Time: Doors open 5:30pm, film starts about 6:00pm, goes for just under an hour.
Tickets are $10 cash only, available now from Paddy Pallin in Katoomba (Tel. 02 4782 4466) or at the door on the night, there's plenty of space.
All proceeds from ticket sales are going to the NZ Salvation Army Canterbury Earthquake Appeal. We raised $1,082.68 from the Melbourne screening and have donated this already. This will be the second and final public screening of the film in Australia (to my knowledge, anyway!).
Beyond The Plains showcases the diversity of climbing throughout the Canterbury region of the South Island of New Zealand, covering various styles and terrain. For more info, check out http://www.facebook.com/beyondtheplains

See ya there!
Just a reminder there's under 2 weeks to go now :D
Just a few days to go now! If you happen to be heading into the bluies for some climbing this weekend (looks like great weather for it, way better than Melb. at the moment!!), top it off by checking out this awesome climbing doco from NZ.
We had a great turnout at the screening in Melbourne, hoping we can do the same up here in NSW.
Remember, you can find more info on the film at http://www.facebook.com/beyondtheplains
See you there!
A good little article about the film and the screening just appeared in the Blue Mountains Gazette - http://magresources.f2.com.au/bmg/2011/bmg/36.html
