having just done one of the easiest gigs in the last decade, I have been asked to pass on a message. If anyone has regular or semi regular contact with Malcom Matheson and Nick Taylor, could they pass on the message that Daryl Braithewaite sends his hellos and best wishes.
thanks

Hey Tel, what was the easy gig? Bit curious... :-)

a toyota dealership launch...ahh the things we do...
On average, I do a gig and start at lunchtime, set up, soundcheck, then the operate the show, pull down bump out and the time is now anywhere between 2:30 and 4:30 am.
yesterday, super easy, start at 2:00, soundcheck at 5, Daryl at 7:30, six songs later, goodnight, pack it up and all over red rover by 9:00pm...
that is easy money ..... :-)

oh and here we all were picturing you crooning behind a microphone in a smoky bar through a few slow jazz numbers...

there is an old gag, where a guy is describing someone he heard singing to others and he says that " he had heard cats f**** with more harmony ", this also applies to me. I am the guy everyone takes the piss out of, "check one, teu, check , check" :-)

There are far to many muso jokes to start that now... must say though, you might not be crooning, but the crew usually seems to make as much if not more money than the band unless you are a real name performer.

Hi Tel,

Not sure what this is all about, or if it is nonsense or whatever, but I'll let Malcolm know regardless. Don't know Nick Taylor, sorry. Maybe Malcolm does.

Last I heard Nic Taylor is living in Hawaii, he came to climbing via surfing and has apparently returned to it.
