I'd be very interested to hear some attitudes on the reliability of cams. I've heard and read quite a number of people who inherently distrust them on the basis that they don't always hold on smooth rock.
I've always taken the attitude that cams fail because they aren't place properly. But I haven't fallen on many. Should I be distrustful? Does anyone know of any tests done on rock of varied roughness? |
