I have a permanent foot injury and now a back injury to consider. I simply know that jumping 3 feet to the ground or having an awkward fall is out of the question. It doesn't make me fearful. I just evaluate each individual climb for risk, the same as I always have. If there is a risk I don't think is worth it, I walk away and do something else. If anything it has bettered my headspace, as I have already considered the risks to a greater degree and have already accepted them and have in place strategies before I leave the ground. Anything other way of thinking is just irrational.
