KieranL is right as usual. The entire walking track network in the Mt Difficult Range was closed after one bridge on Mud Hut Ck below Beehive Falls was damaged in the fire five years ago (including tracks five kilometres away). The Eastern Wall area of the Grampians is still not open after five years. This is supposedly because of the fire but the real reason is different - this is dishonest.

This might not be a problem for most of us who just use common sense and ignore closures, but what about an organisation such as the VCC or a bushwalking club. If they enter a closed region and have an accident that may be totally unrelated to the reason for closure, they are going to have all sorts of trouble with insurance, leader negligence etc.

Even in America they don't have this nonsense.
