Qurank has been quiet for a while now.
There's not that many Queenslanders and even less that bother with message boards.
Doesn't take too long for everybody to vent their opinion and then it is all old hat and nobody cares anymore.

Down here seems to have a whole nation of computer using climbers, and most important, it has enough members that they don't all have to agree with each other and small social groups develop with differing opinions.
Plus there are more people down here that are not afraid to put up an opinion.

So you only need to post a couple of times down here and all sorts of things come out of the woodwork that makes for interesting reading.

I really like that there isn't a monoculture down here.
There are vary different opinions and plenty of smart people to argue for them.

All in all there are some great characters down here that have the capability of putting forth an opinion, but not still taking it all so bloody seriously that you don't want to talk to them ever again.
I think that there are also more people that have been climbing a long time that participate in online discussions down here.

There is always a much broader base on opinions and there never seems to be any real nasty personal attacks that drift into Qurank.

I normally don't participate in many discussions down here because I have no first hand experience of the crags and people down here.
But bolting is bolting and it tends to be nationwide, so my comments can still be valid.

I really do congratulate the people on this board for the way they conduct themselves.
People seem to be able to take a little bit of a tickling and giggle about it, even when the subjects get serious.
