haven't climbed that route, so apologize if this question doesn't help. are you rapping the route or past places you can put gear in?

in the past, either in wind, diagonal, or overhanging abseils, i put a few pieces in the wall as i go by to minimize the wind pushing me to and fro. just have the second clean them and help them with a tug on the rope as needed as they come done after you.

i've been swinging in the wind before 3-4 meters away from the wall. very helpless feeling.

as for the tangle of ropes, never had a foolproof answer to that. using daypack helps, but my climbing pack is quite small. prusik back up really helps as you go down, gives you two hands to sort the tangle as you abseil·
