anyone done it on skis? how much snow does the place get and how is it avo wise? or if anyone is keen to go next year...

i had a friend do it in snowshoes one year and managed to bum slide down an icy slope (not sure if by accident) after they realised they had no crampons!

back to ado, it doesn't mean you HAVE to go fast all the time, it just allows you time to if and when you choose
it's also a lot easier on the body not to carry lots of stuff!
