I can watch bumpy, hip young boulderers cranking and falling off their latest V20 until Dosage Pt XIV and be pretty impressed, but every time I see Ueli Steck on film pushing like he does, it is completely jaw dropping.

And just as an aside on the endless semantics in the helmet debate going on elsewhere in the murky depths, has anybody mentioned that Ueli, on his hyper-lightweight, solo speed climbs, and whilst wearing the string-bikini sized Petzl Hirundos Sport Harness, still chooses to wear a dome? Curious.
