I think one of the arguments is that the whole thing is not just about believing; supposing this is all true, the Devil clearly knows God exists. It is also about making a choice to be holy and embracing God etc, which requires some kind of spiritual journey and not just ‘oh, there is God’. So the existence part is the first step, but not necessarily the most important one. Making people believe will impact on the subsequent steps…I wonder if God agrees :P

Everybody impacts on others, every belief impacts on others, there is no avoiding it. Believing something to be false and hence not partaking in something has an impact. |
