With a couple of well placed pullies you could probably belay from your couch in your front room

I don't know how many buildings I look at and think 'that should have a climbing wall' -- actually the last time I remember thinking this out loud was touring around the new Port Botany extension and marveling at the 20m high concrete sea-wall blocks, hundreds of them, all lined up ready to drop in the bay -- never thought I'd see it on a real building though. Could it ever happen here? What would it take to get something like this installed in a public place? Or on a privately owned building?

I was marvelling at this wall the other day. Made out of thick wood easily strong enough for climbing holds. Steel I-beams for putting in bolts. Perfect for an artificial top roping a leading wall. Probably close to 12-15m high.
Pitty about public liability these days.

Yeah, warmup on the slabby side then hit the maga overhang for a serious pump. There is also a full inddor gym just at the base with a traverse wall all around the outside and a couple of freestanding boulders in the garden around with routes all over them too. Ahh to have a mill or 2 to squander.

These are the sea-wall blocks at Port Botany -- they churn 1 new one out every day -- they're 20m high, with a nice roof to finish! I'm pretty sure we could find a few local parks to stash their spares.
