Back on topic of what dog tastes like, I went to a dog restaurant (bamboo hut next to stinky sewer) in Vietnam a few years as it's considered a delicacy (or so I was told by some bloke I met). There I ate roast dog (looked like lamb, ate like lamb, but had a strange dry taste), cold dog (cold version of roast lamb), dog fritz (which was particularly unpalatable) and dog stew which was very nice, until I got to a grisly bit which tasted exactly how a wet dog smells...
And to another point, I didn't see Neils origanal photo (but i assume it's of a dead dog???-I'd post one too but it's on film) but if someones offended by it get real! It's a dead animal. I've got three pet sheep but i don't breakdown when I walk past a butchers window.
Finally, when I was in China, another bloke I met told me that cat was a real delicacy, but I didn't try it cos it was too expensive. Anyone tried it?
