Dan,
from Biggar on Mercedario 6770m " the 2000m sth face of ice and snow can be climbed in 2-3 days from a camp in the upper colorado valley. It is hard but much less serious than the sth face of aconcagua". No grade. Id say this assumes you're very well acclimatised. Looks like at least a few days from the neerest public trans to get to base camp including hiring a 4wd and mules.
The main route described is from the NE side up the NE ridge-8 days (F).
Checkout some of the descriptions of aconcagua ascents to get an idea of the required aclimitisation time as they are similar heights. You'd want to do at least a 4000m peak b 4 this and then allow ~10 days min. My thoughts only...haven't done it.
