Hi guys, I've been wondering what happened to AMIN as well as I haven't got any newsletters for ages. I assumed, it turns out correctly by the sound of things, that the workload was just getting too much for Paul. It always seemed that the quality of the newsletter etc was just too high to be sustained as a part-time venture.

It sounds like you guys are thinking about reviving a web-based discussion forum/information site? This is definitely the way to go. The catch of course is in getting a self-sustaining discussion, which needs a critical mass of people posting. Whatever you do, maybe keep it as simple as possible. ie, slide nights and printed newsletters are fantastic but must take a huge amount of time. If it's too formal and organised then it becomes too labour intensive will fall in a heap when the individual(s) with the driving force are taken away.

I'd offer to help above and beyond inane advice, but then again, I'm too busy at the moment as well...
