I watched some great kids with GREAT parents climbing at Arapiles last time I was there. These little kids (I guessed about 6-8 years old) were clambering up some pretty tricky routes and when they got to a hard spot their dad was so patient and encouraging and positive it was brilliant to watch. We all clapped and cheered when they made it to the top each time - they all did a fabulous job. So if they are willing to climb then that's most of your job done, but if they are a bit reluctant (scared) then don't force them - that will put them off for later. Let them see others having a great time, that might just do the trick. There is a nice spot for little kids at mt Pilot we visited last weekend (Bl@ke will let us know the name of it and location - North East of the summit from the car park...) that would be fun for the ones who might be little hesitant. Easy abseiling and climbing for a warm up.

Take photos for her and maybe make a list of what routes she does - if she gets right into it she might like to start adding to the list of climbs done. (I know someone else like that!)
