No need to exempt Thai Buddhism from that criticism or to presume Tibetan Buddhism is more corrupted by money than any other tradition. One of the richest temples in Phuket has a head monk who had all the temple dogs poisoned a few years back. He said they just put the poison out and it was up to the dogs if they took it or not. You won't learn a thing about Buddhism from a turd like him, although his temple is just gorgeous.
