Comparison to Greg Norman - both lost marriages due to passion for their sport; at least
Andrew did, and if mountaineering winnings were on par with golfing, he may not have!

Light years ahead of Warnie, surely. No team masseur waiting for when you come off
the pitch... no mobile reception to land you in trouble! Climb in rarified air then melt
snow for drinking water yourself while concerned that your climbing permit ends very
soon - compared to dining at a catered lunch with a journo on your rest day.
Could be compared to Bradman... self-centred, selfish, poor team-players, so they
forged ahead comparatively alone.
I think it would be easier to tee off in a golf comp, or face up to the bowlers at the height
of Bodyline (without a helmet!), than to bivy up high without gear.
