I bought a pair of Anaszi's about 3 or 4 years ago. They started delaminating after only a couple of climbing trips and there was no sign of wear and tear on the rest of the shoe. I took them back for replacement and to my surprise they wouldn't replace them, instead the shop sent them off for repair.

Weeks later and after several inquiries the shoes were still not back (from Sydney I believe) The shop assistant rang the repairers and they basically said bad luck. I told him how pissed off I was so he said 'do you want to speak to them yourself?'

I'm not usually one to complain but I was so pissed off that I took up the offer. I unloaded in no uncertain terms. I said I had paid $230 or so for a pair of shoes that fell apart, I had a climbing trip to Tassie coming up and no decent shoes to wear etc. The person on the other end couldn't/wouldn't help but when I got off the phone the shop assistant could see how totally pissed off I was. He said to me 'go up to the rack and pick yourself another pair of shoes'.

I picked a pair of Mistrals and three resoles later they are still as good as ever.

Moral to this story is 'squeaky wheel gets oiled'. If you are not happy make as much noise as possible and you might get somewhere.
