Yes, I was trying to point out that the amount of green power being produced in total for the whole country is only enough to supply a few suburbs on the lower north shore of Sydney.

I didn't realise there was more being generated than what people were paying for.
But because it goes into the grid, everyone benefits, if you pay extra for it or not. Yes, it is good that people pay extra for green power to send a message to the government, but its a bit like volunteering to pay extra tax. (I know that sounds a bit cynical)

I've not heard much about geothermal lately. I think this is the way to go for reliable baseload power.
