Mmmm.... couriering and climbing. When I was working full time as a bike courier in Sydney circa 2001 I was also traning 3 nights a week at St Leonards for climbing. I have no doubt the cardio and stamina built up from time on the bike halped immensley with my climbing. Sadly bad ankle prevents me riding but swimming is on the agenda. Knowing what your 'redline' is definitely a handy thing. I did it once way back in the early 90's. I can't remember the numbers but do remember it being a nasty little session of pain. Definitely go when your fresh. |
