For reasons around maintaing visual amenity in certain areas (e.g. some areas at Buffalo, Gramps etc) I strongly support the use of glue in machine bolts (technically not carrots anyway) with the view for use of removable hangers.

Outside of aid climbing and temporary pro in new route establishment old school Carrot (bash ins) bolts have no place in modern climbing and those placing them IMO are putting the general climbing public at unneccesary risk.

We have removed all bash in carrots at Mt Pilot (well, a mate did!) and replaced them with proper glue in bolts in highly visited areas (touros) or expansion bolts with hangers or glue in rings at other areas.
