Yes, all rumors are true. There are no dedicated biking trails and walking trails are off limits, especially at
a busy time like Easter.
There are plenty of fire trails to keep you entertained though, just avoid the obviously sandy trails, ie
Henham Track and be prepared to get off and walk up steep hill and rocky sections. Good rides around
Halls Gap include North behind oval to Mt Difficult Plantation and back though Fyans Creek 20-30km.
South to Redmans Rd over Mt William range and North along fire line back to Halls Gap 25-32km. South
around Lake Belfield (Very Hilly) and back to Halls Gap 16km). Local daredevils have also been known
to tackle Boroka Lookout to Wonderland carpark walking trail but do so at you own peril !!!!!. Best to get
yourself a good Map though.
