My understanding:
R - injury probable if you fall at certain points on the route (i.e sections which are impossible to protect and you face almost certain injury if you fall at these points)
X - death probable if you fall at certain points on the route (i.e sections which are impossible to protect and you face almost certain death if you fall at these points)
So I guess RX means some fall=injury sections and some fall=death sections
