Thats Aid Climbing isn't it? Thats the only type of climbing folks with that much facial hair tend to do, right? :P

1st - soloing (face climbing)
2nd - soloing (corner/stemming)

I spent a bit of time camped at the Aiguilles Rouges, in the Alps, and every evening I'd watch the chamois climbing - they'd get 3/4 of the way up 5a slabs, often 50+m off the deck!

I've also seen them race head-first down mighty steep rock, a kind of controlled fall. Forward abseiling without the rope? Very impressive.

I had a goat once, Chloe, and she loved the high ground, front legs up on the balcony on top of Mt St Thomas, looking out over the steel works. I miss Chloe.
