This post is so close to my heart; and hilarious!

I started climbing as a single chicklet for the sport and quickly worked out climbing guys were hot, there was hardly any competition and loooooved the prospects. I'd say to noclimbingboys to suck it up and enjoy... How many sports are there where you're inundated with men, in a position to maybe have awkward flirting attempts in a gym - but where there's ultimately no pressure, becuase really, who's going to try to pash you at Burnley. Not to mention that since he's not going to raise it directly in such an awkward context you don't really have to be telling him you're not interested because that would be too presumptuous; its a win win for the girls.

And the camping. How fun! You can head away with guys where you really just want to climb, you climb and disappear into your tent early before all the drinks. Or, you can feign naivety and go to "climb" with guys who maybe if the stars are right and you're in the mood you can coax into your tent....

BTW camping scum is no barrier at all ... I'd definitely be jealous if my BF went away with another chick; are other climbers seriously not fussed? And ultimately we all want a climbing partner don't we? They can carry your rope, keep you entertained on ledges, make you coffee in the morning...
