You're right Anthonyk. It's hard to differentiate between c--ky, confident and charming.

Maybe I've been tainted with past experiences... I once met a guy [somewhere in the lovely bush], we bumped into each other again in Melbourne and had the most amazing connection at a mutual friends party. I didn't think I'd see him again. But a little while later, I bumped into his friend (who held the party) and he passed a message to me from this wonderful boy. The message he wanted me to have was that he thought I was amazing and really loved talking to me and that he would love it if I came to visit him at this farm.... I jumped out of my skin! With no composure, I blurted out that I thought he was amazing too.

Of cause he won my heart over (and I hope to think that I did too) and then proceeded to tear my heart apart eight months later...

I'm not sure that every confident guy is a cad, but yes they are out there. I guess what I'would love is to meet some guy who was confident in the fact that they liked me. Could stake their pride on it. That there was this super chemistry that compelled them to need to know me (and vise versa - of cause)... Loony I know. And not be in a situation where you test the waters cause the lands dry, if you know what I mean.

Unlike DaCrux's situation (congratultions by the way!!) he's no longer mine. Instead he's with some crappy other girl who's even more unco than I am but she's all... I love climbing cause you love climbing.. will you show me how strong you are... grr!

new question... how have others gone through the pitfalls of seeing ex's and their new partners? Climbing is such a close knit community. Everyone seems to know everyone!!
