The fact that they spend all their time climbing leads to the fact their girlfriend feels second best and leaves them. They see you they think attractive lady, Likes climbing...That would be awesome, and give it a try. Can't blame them really. Some times it might work. If they are helping you out it can lead to a date like vibe. As you get more independant climbing it will ease off. In the mean time milk it for all you can and let them carry the rope and heavy stuff. Very soon they will work out they aren't getting anywhere and let you carry your share. In time you will become good mates there is just a weird settling in period.
