Really that is the essence of our sport Bluey - controlled risk.

If you have confidence in yourself to a) place gear safely with a v.good chance of it holding you and b) put the moves togther with confidence of holding them, then you should be able to tackle most climbs at or near your limit.

Failing that - whinge like a baby and downclimb to the last piece.
