Vertigo are a company in Melbourne who run IRATA courses. IRATA is a worldwide organisation that is more popular internationally then ARAA and the few other orgs/training establishments around. Theyve got 3 levels of training but in reality unless you are working fulltime in the industry you will not log enough hours to get past level 1 (certified hourse need to be logged and signed off by a level 3). Level 1 covers all of your horizontal/vertical progression and pluck off rescues etc. More than enough for what it sounds as though you are after. The courses are around the $1500-1600 mark - all inclusive (gear on course etc)
