The pedantry (?) of my response(s) is due to the historical importance of the ascent of Punks.
As most of you know, it was (and still is (?)) considered by most to be the hardest climb in the world when it is done.
We're also talking about the memory of the most influential sport climber in history and a person who was a friend to some of the local up in Nati.
For those people for whom history, or style and ethics are important, the distinction is critical. |
