I'm with 3, they use the Telstra network outside the cities. You can get reception. Its variable, but if you're a bit back from the cliff-face can get line of sight to a tower up the top. Can get some reception in Nati too.

The Telstra tower can be a bit faint towards the top of the Pines due to the feeble attempt by the RF waves to penetrate the Bluffs. Lower down towards the road, or in the lower Gums, reception is usually OK to good.

Come to think of it i've had reception from halfway up lawrence on Dunes Buttress! Pranked a friend who was chatting on his phone in central gulley a long way below!
Ever so amusing to hear the words "Hang on i got another call.... TOUCHE YOU B*STARD"!

I don't think you're using that right.
Vodafone reception is non-existent until you get halfway to Horsham.

well it sounds like reception should be fine. Touch of technology everywhere nowadays. Now i will just need to find a tree trunk with a power point for my laptop.

I personally found poor coverage higher up in the Pines with Telstra, but reasonable down on the road near the pay phone.
As to Internet, just use the Wireless Internet connection at Simey's cafe?

... where I am told, you can also buy the latest Arapiles guide, as well as indulge your caffiene senses and read old climbing mags, or just take in the eye candy!
