One Day Hero,
If you have such an issue with this bolt on Trojan (despite it not being the ring bolt as originally thought) - I suggest you take a trip up memory lane and run up something like Denium. For although that itself is one of the most obvious crack lines at the Mount, the crux staineless carrot bolt has been there for many a year. If you're going to remove the one on Trojan, that would by default mean you'd have to remove that one as well. But why stop there? How about removing all the fixed mank from Thundercrack (of previous generations). How about removing the same on The Undertaker and Procul? Cracklines all, but not exactly 'pure as the driven snow'. Arapiles lost that classification a long time ago - well before you started climbing no doubt. As a result, you will always have these differences of opinion. The fact is that there was existing fixed gear in place to begin with. I assume the replacement of it was exactly that - and given it removed 4 pieces in the process, I don't think that's a bad deal. But sure - turn renegade and state that you will remove it. Then whilst you're at it go and remove the pieces on Strolling RHV, Historic Events and Mind Arthritis. Just be sure to climb them straight afterwards. Also, can you remove those annoying bolts from No Exit, because although there's a bouldery start that might be a tad bold to solo for some - at least the crack is well protected!
