Wanted: The use of a hammer drill.

I have a chunk of granite in Brunswick that needs a 10 -15 mm hole in it, I figured that someone here has the technology, and inclination.

beers would be provided as reimbursement for time, wear etc.

Say a 12 mm hole (doesn't really matter as i still have to drill the hole in the other piece of steel), 240v is available, and its just a piece of 1" granite table top so can be moved easily.

I was drilling a test hole the other day and the smoke escaped from my 25 yr old drill rendering it useless thus the call out.

I'd be worried that a rotary hammer drill may shatter the table top if it is only 1" thick.
