Yawn, the old retro bolt debate again.

In general i agree that the first ascent style should remain but lets not get high and mighty about it peoples egos.

Ultimately sports climbing areas like nowra are consumer climbing. and thats what people expect.

Whats the point of having one otherwise good route that nobody climbs cause its not bolted just for the sake of preserving someones ego.

I think the bolting and protection should have the general climbing population in mind.
bolted reasonably for the grade and above all safe and repeatable.

I think people need a really good reason to chop any bolts (eg safety). IMHO the risk not satifying someones FA ego is not enough to warrant the choping of bolts on a climb that is safely bolted in the style of the surrounding climbs and crag.

GET OVER IT. and let more people enjoy the route with the comfort of good bolts.
