I don't know how you could possibly assume anything about me, or my climbing. Personally I agree that it is better to place your own protection (not that it matters). I was pointing out that having to place a hanger on a carrot to make the protection usable is vitually identical ethically and practically as having to place a qd on a ring to make it usable.
