I Youre right Neil having kids does change things a little bit. I was married 7 years before the first grub and running it out and soloing just didnt seem to have the same consequences, yeah sure there could be broken bones etc, but life would go on. Now Im responsible for someone that is completely dependant on me for so many things, its more than just financial, what kid wants a dad in a wheelchair? bit hard to teach them climbing or surfing when you cant move your arms. So you stop and think just that little bit harder and work out what the risks really are. It doesnt mean you turn into a girls skirt either.
